In order to counter the latest threats, recent technological developments have significantly enhanced countermeasures' credibility and effectiveness.
In fact, the latest generation of missile homing devices can instantaneously analyse the target's spectral, spatial and temporal data and reject any radar echoes or infrared radiation that are not emitted by a ship's signature.
Most of today's missiles are equipped with ECCM (Electronic Counter-Countermeasures) capabilities that reject standard decoys employing metal dipoles (chaff) or hot spot and non spectral infrared compositions.
These factors have prompted us to invest in R&D; to offer the Lacroix new generation naval decoy range: SEACLAD "SEA Borne Countermeasures Lacroix Advanced Decoy".
Our ammunition can be used with all SYLENA systems, as well as with DAGAIE NG & NGDS systems, in order to provide effective protection for vessels of all sizes, utilizing innovative countermeasures
- Radio frequency corner reflectors against chaff discriminator seekers
- Spectral morphologic infrared imaging decoys against multi-frequency seekers
- Innovative anti-torpedo solutions, with DCNS CANTO®
- Masking and screening capability against EO and laser-guided threats
LACROIX's capability in naval countermeasures is based on proactive innovation to meet customer requirements. Proven solutions use predictive tactical and technical models, updated and validated by evaluation programs and sea trials.
The SEACLAD range of naval countermeasures is made up of 4 models of decoys (rockets or mortars), providing four kinds of technical effects :
SEALEM: Corner Reflector - RF Decoy
In the field of RF today, existing technology is being replaced by structural elements whose signature and profile are very close to that of ships.
This technology provides the response to old, existing and emerging threats, matching ship's RF signature to challenge advanced missile's CCM
SEALEM is available in :

SEALIR: Morphologic IR Decoy
To defeat the most recent infrared seeker threats, LACROIX has developed a new generation of payloads, based on spectral and low temperature compositions, matching the ship's IR signature and providing :
- High stability in shape and time (no fluctuation thanks to a single payload per engagement)
- Same characteristics as the ship to protect
SEALIR is available in:

SEALAT- CANTO® : Acoustic Torpedo Countermeasures
CANTO®, developed by DCNS, is an all-in-one broadband active acoustic emitter acting both as a jammer for dilution and as a false target generator for confusion. CANTO® is effective against both active and passive sonar.
LACROIX's SYLENA system dispenses the DCNS CANTO® broadband acoustic torpedo countermeasure, utilizing a SEALAT pyrotechnic mortar.
SEAMOSC Mortar : Electro-Optic - Laser Screening/Masking
This technology consists in the deployment of a large cloud, generating :
- Wide band target suppression (SEAMOSC 08-01)
- Laser beam back scattering (SEAMOSC 08-02)
